The 20th Century Masterworks Project was started in December 2020 by old college friends, composers, with a love of music history and classical music in general. With so many books and lists being published on the significance of 18th and 19th century works of music we thought it was time to give the 20th century similar scrutiny. We decided instead of relying on a few learned people to shape this discussion we would open it up to the world of musicians and music lovers with the far reaching power of the web.
